Dermatology Physician Assistant Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and medical histories.
  • Perform and assist with various dermatological procedures, including biopsies, cryotherapy, and excisions.
  • Diagnose and treat common skin conditions, such as acne, psoriasis, eczema, and skin infections.
  • Provide patient education on dermatological conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with dermatologists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.

 

Dermatology Physician Assistant Essential Job Functions:

  • Perform clinical examinations and evaluations to diagnose dermatological conditions accurately.
  • Prescribe appropriate medications and develop treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
  • Perform minor surgeries and procedures under the supervision of a dermatologist.
  • Monitor and track patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, maintain accurate medical records.

 

Dermatology Physician Assistant Qualifications

  • Illinois PA-C License
  • MUST have at least 1 year of dermatology experience under a Board Certified Dermatologist
  • Excellent diagnostic and treatment skills
  • Strong knowledge of dermatological diseases, conditions, and treatments
  • Proficient in performing dermatology procedures and surgeries.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to provide patient education and foster strong doctor-patient relationships.
